Val Carter's knowledge is based in the real world. She's been there, done that, failed many times – and learned from her experiences.

Val's mission is to share her tips and her superior knowledge from over 20 years' experience in Human Resources in the corporate, non-profit and public sectors to help others avoid the same or similar mistakes she made along the way.

Val is a proven professional speaker; she is expert on the subjects of Management and Time Management. Her presentations are always chock-full of relevant self-deprecating humour.

Val is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), awarded by Human Resources Institute of Alberta - HRIA and a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP), awarded by Canadian Society for Training and Development – CSTD.

Val's relaxed style and collaborative approach engages participants in her sessions. Each audience member leaves with clear practical 'next steps', ready to put into practice. They also become empowered and renewed.

In 2001, Val founded The Success Centre to create a buzz around learning. With a focus on interactive, results-oriented presentations, Success Centre's programs, keynotes and workshops energize participants as they explore practical solutions to workplace situations and work/home balance issues.

Val is an active Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.
