Barbara Mills is one of the busiest speakers in the Training and Performance Development. Since she left the corporate world to dedicate her time to speaking and writing, Barbara has authored curriculum for over 30 programs, delivered more than 1000 professional speeches, developed, recorded and edited over 16 audio cassette programs, designed many videos training programs for clients, and published articles for trade and professional papers.

Barbara has captivated audiences for over 25 years. After 8 yrs on air with CBC Radio, 5 yrs on camera with CTV News & Public Affairs, she created her own syndicated talk show, Family Focus and won 2 ACTRA Awards, for interviewing excellence.

Barbara is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, and affiliated with a number of speakers' bureaus as a professional speaker. She continues to deliver over 150 presentations each year. Barbara has a gift for connecting with her audience. She simultaneously motivates, entertains, and educates.

Barbara is often asked to coach individual executives preparing for presentations including media interviews, road shows, AGMs, and National Conferences. She has a reputation for helping speakers become their personal best using her 3D approach: Design from purpose, Develop your style and Deliver with confidence. Barbara's 3D method has helped thousands who have attended workshops, as well as those she has coached one-on-one.

Unlike most speakers, Barbara also brings a wealth of business background, including, 5 yrs as VP marketing and private business ownership. This has proven to be invaluable to her ongoing clients enrolled in confidential one-on-one executive coaching. She is an expert in employee retention.

Personal Side Barbara continues to have an interest in childrens' issues, and has served as a Board member for both The Childrens' Television Workshop and the Childrens' Aid Society. Barbara also served as a founding board member of both the Children's Help Line and The Children's Broadcast Institute, as well as Board Chair for Child and Family Services.
